About Dr Bijal Shrivastava
She began her career as a Lecturer at B.J. Wadia Children’s Hospital, Mumbai, followed by a role as a Clinical Assistant in the Intensive Care Unit at P.D. Hinduja Hospital. She has also gained international exposure as an Observer in the ICU at Long Island Jewish Hospital, USA.
During her postgraduate training, she achieved distinction in Pathology and Medicine and was awarded the Dr. Palekar Prize (1999) for securing first rank among students of GS and KEM Hospital.
She has extensive hands-on experience managing OPD services, inpatient care, and neonatal intensive care units (NICU), including overseeing a 9-bedded NICU. She co-founded the “HOPE Clinic”, a specialized program aimed at early detection and management of neurological issues in high-risk infants discharged from NICU, in collaboration with pediatric physiotherapists.
Dr. [Name] served as a Full-Time Pediatric Consultant for 18 years at Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital, where she also headed the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 3 years. She continued her work with high-risk infants through the HOPE program during this tenure.
